Privacy Policy - DigiFriend

1. What we collect

When you create an account or use DigiFriend, we collect:

Your name and email address
Your profile information (age, country, language preferences)
Booking history and call records (date, time, duration)
Payment information - processed securely by our payment provider, not stored by us
Communications you send through the platform

2. How we use your data

To match you with a compatible DigiFriend
To send booking confirmations and call reminders
To process your subscription and payments
To provide customer support
To improve the platform based on usage patterns

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.

3. Who we share data with

We share limited data with trusted service providers who help us run the platform:

Supabase - our database and authentication provider
Resend - for sending transactional emails
Payment provider - for processing subscriptions
Jitsi Meet - the video call platform (no account required)

None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

4. Calls and recordings

DigiFriend does not record video calls. Calls take place on Jitsi Meet and are not monitored or stored by us. You should never record calls without the explicit consent of all participants.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of all data we hold about you
You can request that we delete your account and data
You can update your profile information at any time
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in and the platform functioning. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
