How we vet DigiFriends

Every DigiFriend goes through a manual review process before being approved. We check for:

• A valid application with a real photo and detailed responses
• Clear spoken English and communication skills
• No red flags in their stated background or motivations
• Agreement to our Community Guidelines and Code of Conduct

We do not approve everyone who applies. The quality and safety of our DigiFriends is the foundation of this platform.

During calls

• Calls take place over Jitsi Meet - a secure, encrypted video platform
• You are never required to share personal contact information
• You can end a call at any time without explanation
• Calls are not recorded or monitored by DigiFriend staff

What is not allowed

• Romantic or sexual behaviour of any kind
• Requests for money, gifts, or financial favours
• Pressure to move communication off the platform
• Sharing or requesting private contact details without consent
• Recording calls without the explicit agreement of all parties

Violations are taken seriously and result in immediate removal from the platform.

Not an emergency service

DigiFriend is a companionship platform - not a crisis support or mental health service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a local emergency service or mental health helpline.
